Ratha Yatra Festival 2010



The Ratha Festival was successfully celebrated for the 12th time in Colombo. The deities of Lord Jagannath, Baladev and Subadhra were traversed in the Chariot along the main roads of Colombo.

Upcoming Ratha Yatra Festival 2010















The chariot festival for Lord Jagannatha, Baladev and Subhadra will be celebrated in Colombo for the 11th consecutive year. All are welcome

Lord Jagannath along with Baladev and Subadhra will leave the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple, 188, New Chetty street, Colombo 13 on the Chariot at 7.00am and will shower their blessings upon everybody and every living entity.

Their Lordships will proceed in the chariot along the main roads in Colombo city. Devotees can make offerings and accept the blessings of the Lord. The chariot will return to the temple at about 1.00pm on the same day.

There will be Prasadan distribution at the temple after the return of the Chariot.

The Appearance day of Lord Krishna will be celebrated on the 1st September 2010 at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple, Colombo Sri Lanka.

Programme:

5:30 am : Mangala Arati
6:00 am : Thulasi Arathi
6:30 am : Nagara sankirtan & Procession of Baby Krishna
8:00 am : Abishekam of Baby Krishna with Valampuri Conch shells.
12:30 pm : Rajbhog Arathi

5:30pm : Dhoopa Arathi
6:15pm : Thulasi Arathi
6:30pm : Sandhya Arati
8:00pm : Cultural Programme by the Students of the Hare Krishna College of Music Dance
9-11:00pm : Bhajan and Kirtan by the Children of Gokulam
12:00am : Maha Abishekan of Sri Sri Radha Krishna. Bathing Lord Krishna with Holy waters, Followed by Arathi and Prasadam
